arduino as ICSP programmer

Hi, I came to this http://www.geocities.jp/arduino_diecimila/bootloader/index_en.html website, made the connections, but cant manage to bootloard my atmega8

the information on the website if for the atmega168, and im not finding a way to make it work witrh atmega8

does anyone tried this, or have any idea on what should I change to make it work?
thanks

It would be great if someone can confirm or deny this working, pls

I am considering buying an Arduino and the only gripe i can see is that it uses a bootloader which could be annoying if i want to change it as i don't have an AVR programmer. And although it probably will never be a problem, I can't help being worried that I may accidentally write over the bootloader.

I see the instructions are for a Diecimila. It should work with a Duemilanove too, not so?

If this works, it would be awesome. I think then my mind would be made up and i would be forced to get an Arduino

Yes, I have sucessfully used that for bootloading both mega8 and 168... Have you configured the fuses and lockbits?

thats the thing,
i dont know which one to use
where can I get information for the fuse and lockbits?
do you know?
