arduino as phone charger controller

hi, sorry for my bad english,
i have this smartphone "xiaomi redmi 3s",
because i have plant to buy now smartphone,
i like to make this phone as a mini web server,
because some reason it will on almost 24/7,

and i dont know if it safe to plug in the power charger for 24/7,
or i have to create some arduino device to auto on/off charger using wireless communication + relay,

do any of you have a suggestion?

thanks for reading

Using commercely available equipment ougth to be safe. Let us see if some more experienced member can tell more.

It be safe? Don't know for that particular phone... some of the older lipo batteries that set on fire had only 3 connectors. They skipped the thermocouple in the older versions. Without this sensor it's possible that a battery on charge constantly or during intense use can overheat and set on fire. I ended up with a box of brand new three connector batteries for a couple dollars for my projects.

GND : Ground or negative Terminal
BAT : Battery Positive Terminal
BSI : Battery State Indicator
BTemp : Battery Temparature.

If you're not sure take a look at the battery and try to get datasheets.

If you create an Arduino shut off please include a thermo sensor that goes directly to the battery if the current battery is not set up for it.

I have the charger for my Samsung phone plugged in most of the day because I use the phone for internet access.

thanks for the reply, sorry late reply i have things to do,
my phone battery is inside the case,
it does not like old nokia that you can open back case and pull out the battery,

the second is the battery will generate heat when phone charge,
it quite normal, as other user said they have that situation too,

as my main concern, some said new generation phone has battery protection for overcharge,
but i do not know if it wise, because if it reaches 99% it will start charging, and stop at 100%,
of course if it only 1 or 2 hours it considers normal, but 24/7?,
i fear it will reduce the battery or charging device drastically

I recall the new phones only charge the batteries to about 70% to avoid explosion and fire.
