Arduino + automating an oled display

Hi, I have a project coming up that involves automating an oled display and was wondering about the libraries that are available. I have found a few so far: http://code.google.com/p/displayshield4d/ http://code.google.com/p/uoled-library/ https://github.com/planetarian/4Duino

Is it possible to use these libraries on any type of oled display interfaced to an arduino?

I don't think so since the term "any type" is pretty broad.

Link #1 says: Library works for: ...

Link #2 says: This is an Arduino library for the ...

Link #3 says: An advanced Arduino library for controlling ...

If your display matches the '...' then the answer is probably YES. If your display does not match the '...' then the answer is probably NO.

U8glib supports OLEDS with SSD1325 and SSD1306. SSD1327 will be available with the next release. See supported chips here: http://code.google.com/p/u8glib/wiki/device

Edit: The three initially mentioned libs only support 4D color displays. U8glib supports monochrom and graylevel OLEDs from several companies.

Ok, thanks so much for the feedback.

So if i used a 4D Systems oled display like in the following link, http://www.eio.com/p-19070-4d-systems-uoled-160-g1-17-miniature-serial-oled-module.aspx, interfaced to an arduino, I would be able to use those libraries?
