ASAP! PLEASE HELP! BE KIND, I AM A NEWBEE! i don't know if there's something wrong with the wirings or the codes but the capacitive sensor is not detecting anything, it only displays 'No Plastic Detected! even though there actually is. Is it an error in our codes or our wirings?
There's an error, no several errors in your post that shows us you don't know and/or care about netiquette. Edit your post to a better than current standard. When doing so, use common sense how you interact with people in your daily life including to adhere to the rules here in the forum.
Thank you for showing us users respect and care.
can't provide much help without seeing the code or a wiring diagram.
I see potential errors in both! Please follow forum guidelines and post an annotated schematic and your code using code tags.
Those are among the several possibilities.
ASAP! Hello! We need help for a school project. We decided to use an inductive sensor and IR sensor instead of a capacitive sensor. We planned on making the inductive sensor reject the metal if it is sensed but accept the non-metal objects. What do we change or put inside the code to make it that way? Thank you!
How would an inductive sensor "know" that there's something non-inductive (wood, plastic, etc)?
I'm guessing you'll need to supplement the detecting game where
a) there's something to analyze
b) determine whether it's inductive (or not)
How's it going with that netiquette thing?
I have merged your cross-posts @yanaandclare
Cross-posting is against the Arduino forum rules. The reason is that duplicate posts can waste the time of the people trying to help. Someone might spend a lot of time investigating and writing a detailed answer on one topic, without knowing that someone else already did the same in the other topic.
Repeated cross-posting can result in a suspension from the forum.
In the future, please only create one topic for each distinct subject matter. This is basic forum etiquette, as explained in the "How to get the best out of this forum" guide. It contains a lot of other useful information. Please read it.
Thanks in advance for your cooperation.
