Hi, I got a new bike recently but the weather lately has been shit, to say the least, so I did some research and found out about Zwift. Since I had just blown all my money on a bike I had none left to buy a trainer or speed sensor, because of this I thought of DIY a setup with some planks to lift the back wheel of the bike off the ground and using a DIY speed sensor to train in Zwift. I found an old speed sensor that is attached to the front fork of a bike with a magnet on the spokes of the wheel, it acts as a simple switch and I want to use it to calculate speed by knowing how big the wheel is, and every time the sensor is activated I would know that the wheel has made a full rotation. The problem arose when I couldn't find any very understandable or useful code for connecting an ESP32 through Bluetooth via the FTMS protocol (FTMS is required for connecting sensors to Zwift) to for example a PC. And so here I am asking for help, has anyone seen any useful documentation on implementing the FTMS protocol to communicate with a device through Bluetooth? Any ideas? If this has been unclear please ask I'm really at a loss here and I don't understand this topic very well. Any relevant response would be greatly appreciated.
