Arduino Bluetooth Shield as a Beacon

First of all thanks for your attention.

I'm doing the final work of my degree of beacons.

My final work is an app that can locate the beacon in a range of 30 meters.

My question is the following one:

I would love to know if the Arduino Bluetooth Shield could make the function as a beacon and which would be the code or clues that I have to implement on the Arduino to run it as a beacon.

So, one of us knows what you mean by a beacon. To me, it looks like you misspelled bacon. (Just kidding.)

First, there is an assumption in that question that is false. "The Arduino Bluetooth Shield" assumes that there is only one bluetooth shield for the Arduino, and, since I have two different ones, I know that that is not the case.

Second, there is that definition thing again. What do YOU mean by beacon?
