Arduino boards for CVD process

Hello,

I need to automate a CVD process, which includes a gas controller and two oven controllers. Each of these controllers has to be able to perform about four different commands, and they communicate using RS485.
In addition, there is a power supplier that will be turned on and off using a mechanical relay.

I want to connect them to an Arduino controller which will be controlled via a LabVIEW program on a designated computer. What Arduino board would you recommend I use for such a project?

You do not state what gas you are using so Let me ask what is the liability risk to you if something fails? I think most any of them would work dependent on your environmental constraints.
