Arduino Bootloader problem

Hello,

I am having troubles programming the bootloader of my ATMEGA328P-PU chips. The chips I bought were from ebay. I am following instructions from here, and I have triple checked my wiring. I keep receiving the error message "avrdude: Yikes! Invalid device signature. Double check connections and try again, or use -F to override this check." There is no message about what the device signature is on the chip. Here are photos of the chip itself.

This may help you understand the issue http://www.instructables.com/id/Bootload-an-ATmega328/?ALLSTEPS

What is the device signature that's shown as "invalid"? (It's shown just above that message...)

what device adress you are getting? assuming if it is 0x000000 then your problem is related to wiring only. check your connection.

"Device signature" refers to the three signature bytes stored in each chip. They can be found in the Memory Programming section of the datasheet:

ATmega328 0x1E 0x95 0x14

ATmega328P 0x1E 0x95 0x0F

How are you programming the bootloader? What are you using for a programmer?

I had another problem. I burned bootloader (it took a whiiiiiiiile but finally got it) upload "blink" using usbasp. The message was "done uploading" but my atmega does nothing. I dont know what to do know because I got used to Eclipse and C but don't have time for preparing all registers for testing modules. So I would be gratefull if you could help me out with this. Greetings
