Not 100% sure, but I'm pretty sure you program the BT over bluetooth.
And as far as a widgets display, I think it's be a better idea to get a 4x20 LCD Character display($25 on Sparkfun) and wire it up to your paralell port, then run a program called LCD Smartie.
Unless you;re talking about a wireless widgets display, then I'm not sure, but apparently someone managed to control an Arduino'd display with smartie.
