Arduino BT serial connection issue

I just received my Arduino BT.

All I'm trying to do is send a message to the serial monitor on my computer but all this code gets me:

void setup(){
  Serial.begin(19200);
}

void loop(){
  Serial.println("hey");
  delay(10000);
}

is a bunch of 'à's. Has anyone else had this problem?

My serial monitor baud rate is set to 19200, I'm not sure what the issue is.

Thanks

Have you checked the baud rate in your serial monitor ?? I think the baud rate in your serial monitor is different than what you have it in your code.

Yeah they're set to the same baud rate. I even tried a simple "hello world" program on a different arduino board with the same results, the serial monitor just displays "à" characters. Has anyone else had this problem?

Solved the issue. Apparently, at least for our board, the only baud rate that works is 115200. So if anyone else is having this problem, try that I guess.
