Hello,
I am trying to create a project where an arduino will capture images from a camera and transmit then to a PC wireless. I have previously managed to use the following camera:
and save images from it to an sd card. My issue is this: The PC that I will be transmitting the data to is quite a way away 1 or 2 km, so wifi or cable is not an option. Previously I had an arduino connected to the pc via serial, and used 2 xbee's to communicate between the PC arduino and remote arduino. However, I'm not sure how, or if I even can, transfer an image this way. have been considering using a network camera and connecting it to the arduino via an ethernet shield, but that still poses the issue of sending the image from the camera. Has anyone ever done this before, and have you got a special setup or a recommended transmitter to make this job easier.
I am about to start attempting to break the image down into bytes and re-assemble it at the computer end, but wanted to know if anyone here had a better, faster and easier way of doing it ![]()
