I was wondering,
Is the Cloud Arduino cloud technology designed and tested for OSX operations systems.
For example,
I use OS12.6 (Montgomery ), I have downloaded Agent version 1.3.3-9a500b4. To be honest, I am not even sure if it is running or not, I do see the Arduino Agent icon in the top of my screen (in black). I then connect an Arduino board to my USB and use cloud to create a new sketch. I notice that apparently there is no connection with my board so I can not upload a new sketch.
I workable proven step by step instruction would be appreciated.
Thanks
Hi @MeandMrsJones.
Yes, macOS compatibility is a design requirement for all Arduino Cloud components and this platform receives an especially high level of use testing coverage since Macs tend to be the primary machine of choice among developers.
Please reply here to tell me which web browser you have the Arduino Cloud open in (e.g., "Chrome", "Safari" when this problem occurs.

Thank you. I switched to Firefox and now it works.
But o be honest, I do not have doubts about Arduino, but after more than 40 years working with Apple software, the thing I frighten the worst is when Apple comes up with what they call is a major upgrade (the best we have ever released !!!!!). The probability of something non-Apple-standard is broken, is according to my feeling very high. Ha Ha Ha.
Anyway, Arduino cloud after she testing : what a great service. Thanks for all your efforts in devoloping this.
You are welcome. I'm glad it is working now.
When I asked which browser you were using, it didn't have the intention of suggesting you switch browsers. I was only trying to identify the cause of the problem. There is a known problem associated with using the Safari browser specifically.
Switching browser should be a reasonable solution to that problem as long as you don't mind using Firefox, etc. instead of your usual browser. But if using Firefox is an inconvenience for you, there is an alternative solution that would allow Arduino Cloud to work on Safari. I'd be happy to provide assistance with that solution if this is something you want.
As someone involved in the development, testing, distribution, and support for applications that run on macOS computers, I know that fear all too well! In fact some of my Italian colleagues on the Arduino Tooling Team took to referring to macOS Ventura as "sventura" (which is Italian for "misfortune"). Fortunately the recent macOS Sonoma release has been painless for us.
The quest for better privacy and security plus the move to Apple Silicon has indeed changed many things in the past few years.
Whilst a bit painful when facing the transition, I see this done for a good reason (and usually with enough notice from Apple).
Firefox : 118.0.2 (64-bit)
Works like a charm now.
Thanks
