Hello, my simple app allows Alexa voice commands to turn lights on and off and it works reliably. I added a temperature sensor. The arduino cloud dashboard shows the correct temperature but Alexa doesn't or if it does, there is a very, very long delay. I set the temperature variable to 40C and left for a few hours and Alexa reported the temperature as 40C. I then changed it to 12C and it's been over 30 minutes without an Alexa update but the Arduino shows 12C almost instantly. I've tried both regularly and on a change of > 1 degree.
Any ideas?
Jerry
My switches are working meaning I can use Alexa to turn a switch on an off on a Nano 33 IOT. But the temperature sensor -which is just a voltage at this point, is severely lagging. It is taking over two hours for the temperature to get updated at Alexa. the temperature is correct on the Dashboards. The switches get updated right away. I've tried a bunch of different ways but no luck. I understand this is Beta code - I paid the for the cloud service by the way so I don't know if that makes a difference. I have my own public servers with static IP addresses so if I can utilize them to talk to ALexa someway that might be easier.
Is it possible my data got backed up somehow? I was generating a lot if temperature data for a while because I had update on change at .1 degrees.
Anyone out there that can give me a pointer or two? Is this Arduino cloud service ready for primetime or not?
thanks,
Jerry
I thought I posted this earlier, but all of a sudden, Alexa started updating much more quickly, maybe as often as every 5 seconds. I have a feeling I might have overloaded it early on but things are cool now.
thanks anyway

hi Jerry
Sorry I haven't had the chance to jump in earlier.
It could have been some sort of service disruption on Alexa's side.
I'm happy you got this working without having to change anything
