I don't mind standing up for long periods doing code or anything else, it's the niggling getting up and down for copy.
Yes, it's my fault for being so untidy, but that's the way I work - it does have consequences like those expensive little shorts.
I do copy a lot of stuff from the serial monitor to Excel and other monitors like CoolTerm seem to manage to include a right mouse button menu.
It was sort of half promised some time ago, but never materialised.
