You call yourself a coder and want to display a certificate, but you don't read or follow rules? Good luck.
What do you think a free certificate is really worth? Ask yourself this - If this applicant for this job was only interested in a free certificate, how much does he really care, or know? "Next applicant, please!"
If you really want a free certificate, just make one up. It's worth pretty much the same.

Have you asked for a waiver? Are they trying to keep you out? A friend became a legal priest by visiting a web site and clicking a few boxes. Why would you want to join a club where requirements are a few mouse clicks? (I realize, that is exactly what I am doing)

There are a number of Arduino courses on Udemy. They are cheap and you can finish one in a couple week of spare time.

No, Everyone who wants to join just needs a Certificate of some kind saying they know enough coding to join, It's for a FLL Regional Challenge.

I thought the idea of a Coding Club is that kids join it to learn coding, and then they can get a certificate /from/ the club. It seems strange that there should be a joining requirement.
I would be interested to see the club rules requiring a coding certificate. Are they published anywhere ?
