Hey, I bought another Arduino, cuz I thought my first was broken in some way.
If I plug in the Arduino into my pc, it instantly disconnects the com port but the Arduino stays on.
I'd appreciate any help for a solution. Thx!

What IDE version are you using?
What OS are you using?
I'm confused, before you plug the UNO in, it is not connected at all, so how when you plug it in it "instantly disconnects"?
The fact that the lights are still on is because the UNO is powered by the USB all the time it is plugged in.
In fact you should notice one of the LEDs on the UNO should be flashing.
It sounds like the driver for the UNO is not correct or not installed.
