Arduino communicating with ethernet shield and then send and receive through udp

Well i am new to this thing can anyone help me with what exactly process is going on while i send and receive data through UDP.
utility i am using is "PACKET SENDER".
ARDUINO USED= ARDUINO MEGA
ETHERNET SHIELD USED IS =W5200
