Arduino "content mismatch" out of nowhere

Everything I touch breaks.

I've seen this like 3 times now, all with RF nanos. I get "content mismatch" out of nowhere. Nothing causes this, it just seems that the Arduino has a limited lifespan or something and then just dies.

option enabled in File -> Preferences.

EDIT - Linux Mint 20.1 (I think), CH340G onboard serial converter (all drivers working), Arduino seemed to be fine only a few days ago.

EDIT - Arduino nano classic with NRF24L01 on board with CE on 9 and CSN on 10.

EDIT - I've used these before without issue until they do this. By the way the code on it previously seems to still work.

EDIT - I think it's totally dead. Lights aren't turning on. Board is stone cold.
