Arduino controlled CNC Miller

I have finally fished the first draft of the write up of my CNC project, it includes the software and schematics for you to download, as well as a Processing app to handle the transfer of Gcode to the miller.

I have some more Processing apps in the works for generating Gcode files but unfortunately they are not finished yet and I didn't want them to hold up this page.
Also is an Exhibition page to show some of my projects that I have not got full details published.
Enjoy.

That's nice work, Mike.

I'm working on something similar ... completely different code, on-board controls rather than Processing, and driving a 4-axis Gecko ... but I hope it turns out as good looking as yours.

Good skills Grumpy.
Im a machinist by trade and would love to have a few toys at home like this. Im no longer in the trade and its so hard to build a good machine without access to a basic machine. Bit like the chicken before the egg. Im saving my penny's and aiming for a decent mill and lathe one day. My goal would be to convert a manual machine into CNC and still have the option of using it both ways. Sometimes small jobs just aren't worth the code other jobs still require the finesse of a humans touch and feel.

very well done mate

thanks for the great writeup mike, I'll need to cleanup my box before I post anything...(plexi and hot glue)...

Nice! You sure did a nice job making everything look neat and tidy. I'm hoping to build my own mill - someday :-)...

Awesome write up - looking forward to reading it!

Awesome! Thanks for sharing!
I am just getting into arduino, but I will definately bookmark your page for future reference.
Very nice project!
