Arduino controlled PIR circuit needed

Hi All.

I am looking for a circuit or project to implement a PIR motion detection which is controlled via an Arduino in a home automation environment. The aim is to be able to set the sensitivity and timers via the software instead of trim pots as commonly used e.g. in the HC-SR501 module. Is there a existing reference project?

From my understanding, I basically need a circuit with 2 amplifiers for the PIR sensor. The 2 analogue output of the amplifiers then would need to be read by the Arduino and the software then interprets the analogue signal differential of the 2 inputs.

Alternatively, as above 2 amplifiers are used but the differential voltage is sent to the Arduino. I guess this might have a higher resolution?

Anyway, any help would be appreciated

Mike
