Arduino doesn't open on Mac 10.5.8

Hello!
I'm trying to install Arduino in my computer Mac OX S 10.5.8, and it doesn't open, does anybody knows why this could be?
is there a specific Arduino version for my computer?

Hi!
When I press the Arduino button to open the programme doesn't do anything, it doesn't react. I can download it and open the folders, but I can't open the actual programme..

What do you mean by open the folders?

The Mac version is just the application.
