Arduino Due - CANbus - pins RX0 TX0

I need to connect a "TJA1050 High speed CAN transceiver" to "Arduino Due".

I'm sure it would work if I connected TJA1050 to Arduino Due pins "CANRX and CANTX".

Is there a way to make it work connecting TJA1050 to Arduino Due using pins "RX0 and TX0" instead of pins "CANRX and CANTX"?

I already designed a custom PCB shield with connections using pins "RX0" and "TX0", so it would be really of help if I didn't had to start from scratch the PCB project.

No. The UART interface and the CAN bus are not physically compatible.

Ok, I'd better accept the reality and design a new PCB.

Thank you very much
