Arduino DUE copy program

I have a working Arduino DUE model R3 (Atmel ATSAM3X8E) with a program inside. Since I do not have the program I need to make a backup in case of failure in the second replacement Arduino DUE model R3 (Atmel ATSAM3X8E). How can I do this? Can a program in Arduino DUE be somehow locked against copy or read? Can't I damage the existing one in this way? Please, give me an advice. Thank you.
