Arduino DUE no device COM error

I’ve been trying to figure this out for a couple days to no avail. None of the previous forum posts that I’ve seen seem to help.

This is what it says whenever I try to upload my code:

“No device found on COM3
An error occurred while uploading the sketch”

The Arduino is in fact on COM3, it’s the only USB port on my device.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! I need to fix this for a project for school. Thank you

Check the USB cable first. Very often a USB cable for power only is used ....

Once your USB cable has been checked, push the erase button for 3 seconds, then the Reset button for 3 seconds and try again to upload a sketch.

no need to hold it :slight_smile: pressing the erase button immediately erases flash.
