I'm having a trouble with my Arduino DUE : i put a simple program on it but i forgot "delay(...)", and now, when I plug it, the board overheat and the Arduino shutdown itself after 2 seconds.
And I can't change the program in this short amount of time...(it upload not fast enough...)
The problem is that neither the reset or erase button can successfully erase my program.
Keep pressed the erase button for a couple of seconds, then, press the reset button for one second while keeping pressed the erase button. Finally, release both buttons at once and you should have your Due program deleted.
It's strange : with that i only gain 4 seconds instead of 2s where my DUE is recognized by the computer... I still can't reprogram it by USB upload
Is there a part of the memory of the ancient program still running and causing trouble ?
Something doesn't sound accurate here... The processor always runs at 84MHz whatever you're doing. It runs pretty much the same number of instructions per second whether you're in a delay or calculating the trillionth digit of PI. Why would a lack of delay() cause your processor to get too hot? And how would that happen in 2 seconds? The processor is meant to run full blast constantly.
I think it's much more likely that you zapped a pin and the processor is internally shorted and drawing a huge amount of power. No amount of program erasing will fix that.
The programming Port of the DUE appear but in 2-3 seconds disappear : don't have time to modify anything from my computer...
So if there is no way to fix that manually i'm fucked ^^
How about the Native USB port? Can you get connected and program the example?
If the Native port works OK, it could be an indication that you have a potential issue with the Atmega or so.
