One of the major drawbacks of the Arduino Edge Control is a lack of a dedicated real-time clock (RTC). The Nina B306/nrRF52840 internal real-time counter can be used as a clock source via Mbed OS but it will reset when the board resets or power is lost.
I spoke with Arduino support in May of this year regarding this issue and they advised that there will be a hardware revision of the Edge Control coming soon that will add a dedicated RTC. I recently followed up with support to try and get an updated ETA but no additional information was available.
I'd be curious to know if anyone has heard rumours of when this hardware revision may be expected?
