Hello,
Since yesterday I've got some problems with my Arduino Ethernet. I hope somebody can point me to some new direction about what to try or can tell me when there is no hope for this instance anymore. I made a brief summary of what I already tried, if there are any gaps, I'd happy to fill them in.
Synopsis:
- Arduino Ethernet runs 24x7 since February 2012 with minor downtimes (e.g. some minor patches of the sketch). Attached to it was a one-wire-bus and a xbee connected via SoftwareSerial (i.e. not on rx/tx), network connectivity was regulary used to push data.
- Arduino Ethernet connected via Usb2Serial Light on a Windows 8 64bit system
- After trying to upload an updated sketch it fails with:
"ser_send(): write error: sorry no info avail"
- Futher attempts to upload this sketch and a simpler one (e.g. Blink) lead to the following error message:
"avrdude: stk500_getsync(): not in sync: resp=0x00"
- Starting the board simply results in a glowing Power LED and the L9 LED, Reset button has no visible effect
Attempts to save "something":
- Tried uploading from a different system (WinXP, 32bit) -> same
- Tried the loopback test http://arduino.cc/forum/index.php/topic,73748.0.html -> successfull
- Read a lot of stuff about 0x00 and ...
- Tried to flash the bootloader with a working Arduino UNO as described here: http://arduino.cc/en/Tutorial/ArduinoISP

- Since this didn't work, I tried to flash the bootloader with Optiloader like this: http://scuola.arduino.cc/en/content/upgrade-arduino-ethernet-bootloader-latest-version. Sadly this only led to the message
"Target power on! ...No RESET pullup detected! - no target?"
and stopped.
Any idea what I could try besides this? Is there anything deducible what might have caused this?
