Depending on how secure the pc is, and how complicated it it is to retrieve the file, it should be doable if it is a matter of using a simple username/password, and a simple method for getting the file. However with more complex methods for retrieving the file, it may become too complex to hold the program in the Arduino's limited memory space.

The access to the SD card is much slower than putting it directly in your PC so is it worth the time to make such a server?

Persuading the PC to give you the file content is the hard part. I don't think you'd be able to support windows file service (unless somebody has already implemented an Arduino client for it) but if you're allowed to use HTTP or FTP without windows authentication then it would be feasible to implement a suitable client on the Arduino.

EJTR: I have not found a rule that tells me that you can not post in both languages ??at the same time or some rule that says in one forum, ...

How to use this forum

no problem, I'm new to the forum and working with Arduino too,so not coming back to do this and apologize to the people on the forum that could have affected.
