Arduino Ethernet not programmable

Hei guys

I bought the arduino ethernet board and at the moment I have some troubles to program it.

I read the wiki page from arduino (http://arduino.cc/en/pmwiki.php?n=Main/ArduinoBoardEthernet)
And on the bottom there was a link to update the bootloader, but the link is dead (http://scuola.arduino.cc/en/content/upgrade-arduino-ethernet-bootloader-latest-version)

I bought also an small usb to ftdi breakout to programm the arduino. So far the “On” LED lights up when connected but if i want to upload a sketch there is an error:

avrdude: stk500_getsync() attempt 1 of 10: not in sync: resp=0x00

Hope you guys can help

Maybe the auto-reset isn't working. Try holding down the reset button until the build finishes and the upload starts.

Sorry for my late response.

In fact i bought now a sparkfun USB->FTDI cable.

Connected it, uploaded a sketch and it worked perfectly.
So I assume that my breakoutboard was defect.
