Arduino Ethernet Shield 2 question

Is Ethernet Shield 2 compatible with Arduino Due? All the discussion I’ve seen involved 8bit AVRs but Due is 32-bit. Trying to avoid buying it and then having unforeseen problems, it is not cheap.
