Arduino Ethernetshield and UNO Twitter configuration to send SMS notifications.

I´m trying to setup up my Arduino Ethernet shield R3 (Serial number (!?): 90-A2-DA-0D-46-00) with my UNO board R3.

I have followed this guide:

And i have succeeded to make my twitter account send me a textmessage when my other twitter account tweets. But i have not succeeded to make my Arduino to tweet.

This is what my code looks like: (besides that i have entered my token)

But my question is how do i connect my cables from my power-switch to the ethernet board? I don´t know exactly where the cables is supposed to be connected?

THANK YOU, Best regards Nosstrebor

#if defined(ARDUINO) && ARDUINO > 18 // Arduino 0019 or later
#include <SPI.h>
#include <Ethernet.h>
//#include <EthernetDNS.h> Only needed in Arduino 0022 or earlier
#include <Twitter.h>

byte mac = { 0xDE, 0xAD, 0xBE, 0xEF, 0xFE, 0xED };
byte ip = { 10, 0, 0, 177 };
Twitter twitter("<<< your token here >>>");
char msg = “Hello, World! I’m Arduino!”;

void setup()
Ethernet.begin(mac, ip);

Serial.println(“connecting …”);
if ( {
int status = twitter.wait();
if (status == 200) {
} else {
Serial.print("failed : code ");
} else {
Serial.println(“connection failed.”);

void loop()

The way that sketch is written you don't need a button for it to work, it should tweet once when you start your arduino. Are you saying it doesn't tweet at all? Unfortunately that video doesn't make it clear what is going on with that button but I'd suggest not worrying about that until you get it to tweet without one first. If it doesn't tweet what error code are you getting in the serial monitor?

Thanks for your response! Please see my picture below with the my errors!
