Arduino.exe stopped seeing my COM7 port

WindowsXP Professional, Atmega Mega 2560, has been working flawlessly for weeks. Last night, I received a "Windows" update. Today, Arduino.exe no longer sees the COM7 port. I've re-installed the software from the download, re-installed the driver for the COM Port, and the computer does recognize the COM7 port. Last night, before the "Windows" update, I was using Portmon.exe to monitor the uploads and could see them happening, but, no more. What should I do??

Roll back the Windows update, and see if it fixes it.

Thanks for the advice. I did a restore to an earlier date. Problem solved!
