arduino feather wing examples for oled 1306 does not compile with many errors.
It used to before I installed the SAMD support library.
What did they say over at the Adafruit support forum?
I cannot find a similar post.
The Blink sketch compiles but does nothing.
I guess my hint was too subtle. Let's try .... Why don't you post your question on Adafruit's support forum?
OK i will try.
Is the Feather not considered to be an arduino ?
"Feather" is a line of products manufactured by Adafruit. They're all in the Arduino Ecosystem.
I fell for the marketing guff.
Hardware looks good , software support seems poor.
I think i will go back to the Nano with an external memory card.
I wouldn't discount Pilot Error here. Adafruit support is actually quite good. That's why I attempted to direct you to their website.
I admit to being Captain crasher sometimes but being able to compile blink and not work does not give me much confidence.
When I installed the SAMD library I also had a few peculiar problems.
Currently doing a factory reset of my PC.
The addafruit forum does seem very good.
Some experimentation has led me to believe that the culprit is THE USB c adapter I am using.
I have the OLED battery example working now but it reports a Voltage of 0.02 volts both on the display and println.
Adafruit support is not there at the weekend and i was wondering if anyone here had any ideas.
Not an Arduino as such.
Adafruit do make profit (I presume) out of selling their products so you might think they would provide support for thier products rather than relying on the volunteers in this forum.
My recent experience of the addafruit forum is a good one.
Given the capabilities of the feather I would be surprised if some here have not experimented.
The advantage here is that there are many of us and many are around at the weekend when i have time to do my twiddling. .
Exactly which processor board and "featherwing" are you using. Please supplied links to them on Adafuit's product page. "Featherwing" is not specific enough as they give that name to multiple products.
Thanks to all who replied.
What i thought was software/ finger trouble is looking like at least two hardware problems.
Will order a new shield and try again.
