Arduino FIO, Solar Cells, Batteries and diode???

Hello,

I have an arduino fio running on solar cell rated 5.5v and 250mA. Also I connected a lipo cell with 970mAh.

Do I need to connect a diode on my solar cell? If yes, what kind of diode(digikey P/N or other) and where I connect it(gnd or vcc)?

I've read max1555 datasheet but I didn't understand:
"When input power is removed, battery leakage current is less than 5?A. No input-blocking diodes are required to prevent battery drain. Insert a diode at DC (the adapter input) if protection from negative voltage inputs (reversed-polarity adapter plugs) is required."

sorry for doing this but I'm really looking for an answer.

I don't think you do.
