in setting up my prototype WSN, I'm thinking of using arduino fio + xbee pro 802.15.4 module for my "mote" or should I use the usual xbee shield + arduino main board + xbee pro????
for a newbie like me that has no experience in arduino and xbee... what will be the most applicable approach?
At the bottom of the river, bolted to an existing stick gauge (or some other convenient location) is a differential pressure sensor. This sensor measures the difference in pressure between the atmosphere and the bottom of the river.
The pressure sensor is connected to the Arduino board which is mounted somewhere on the river bank in a weather-proof box.
The Xbee module connected to the Arduino will transmit the data.
The coordinator is stationed somewhere 1 mile away from the end-device which will receive the data and display it on the PC.
