Arduino for waste segregation project

hi im new here and i been new to arduino,
i just want to know from you guys, the experts.
If we can use arduino for our miniature project.

we’re planning to construct a waste miniature segregation machine,

can we use inductive, capacitive and optical sensors on Arduino
for detection and sorting out metals, plastics, papers?

any idea from you guys? if it is possible to build
using arduino?

Start with finding sensors that can do what you want. Connecting the sensors to an Arduino should not be a problem, then.
