My students are trying to do a project that requires an Arduino and genuino and I can't find the genuino anywhere. Did the Uno R3 replace it? Or, is there another Arduino board I can use instead of the genuino? The project is already asking for an Arduino Uno R3 so should I just use two of them? Any help or guidance is appreciated.
Genuino is an alternative brand name Arduino was forced to use on their products sold outside the US for a short time due to a legal dispute. The legal dispute has since been resolved so likely the brand name is no longer in use. The only difference between a product sold under the Arduino brand and one sold under the Genuino brand is the name printed on the box, manual, circuit board. So there's no difference in using two Arduino Unos instead of an Arduino Uno and a Genuino Uno.
