The jumper seems to cut off positive pin from the backlight. So i could just analogWrite to that pin. Will try that later!It isn't that simple. It depends on the current draw for the backlight.
Some backlights draw more than the 40ma max power rating of the AVR pin.
If it draws more than 40ma, it may work for while, but you risk burning up your AVR.
