The splash for IDE 1.8.13 takes 12 seconds, but the splash for IDE 2.0.0-beta5 takes 33 seconds.
We already have operating systems that load in less time, please don't let the splash take too long, or add an option to disable the splash.
It's not the splash that's causing the delay. The splash is just an image shown while the IDE is loading. If you disabled the splash, then you would just have a blank window for 33 seconds.

I always like the splash screen of GIMP where you can kind-of follow what it is doing.
