Arduino IDE crashes on application launch (Mac OS X 10.7.5)

When I attempt to open the Arduino IDE it just crashes immediately. No splash screen, nothing.

I apologize if this has been posted before. I could not find a previous topic with this same problem. And I have been scouring google for hours now, and I can't seem to figure it out.

I am really desperate to fix the issue because I am supposed to be giving a live demo at a conference in two days, and I need to be able to load the code on the board to do my demo :frowning: And because I've travelled to the conference, I only have THIS laptop with me, so I can't just use a different computer.

I can't say exactly when the problem started because it has been a few months since I last used it.

I have tried updating to a new version of the IDE, and that did not make any difference at all.

Operating system: Mac OS X 10.7.5

A .txt file with problem report that I get is attached to this post.
