I'm a newbie here so I don't know yet if this is the right section to post into these forums.
I've managed to get the arduino IDE working and to be able to
program my sketchs ---more than one--- with an Arduino board with an Atmega328 on PC-BSD 8.1 RC1. Unfortunately, I'm not able to get the serial monitor working yet . I hope every arduino compatible board works!!
I think with a FreeBSD installation of the same version that has a Desktop Environment install should be the same. I wasn't able to make it work with the PC-BSD/FreeBSD 8.0 version, dependencies just break themselves.
So here it is. That was my first post so I did this.
I'm going to pass a link for you to download the necessary files. It is preferable you do this with vmware workstation/player/server or a PC-BSD 8.1 RC1 fresh installation. The instructions are into the zip bundle you may download with the link above and are a little fuzzy so read carefully, these are in english and also in spanish language made into two different readmes. If you have any inconsistencies, doubts or problems with the zip file or some of the files inside, please contact me through here. Everything is malware free .
