Not really a problem, but I’m curious about what might be happening behind the Arduino curtains. If I reboot my XP pro SP3 system and open the Arduino shortcut icon on my desktop (v13) it takes about 30 seconds, with constant disk activty light going, before the IDE is displayed and ready to go. If I close it out and later reopen it, it takes only 3-4 seconds to load and go.
So does processing or the Arduino IDE have to rebuild something from source when first opened Vs reopening?
