Arduino IDE not installed properly.

I have tried installing the IDE on my Ubuntu Server via the zip file provided on the website, and it says it was successfully installed in the terminal. But the Desktop Icon isn't what it should be and I am unable to open the program. I have reinstalled the program and it still comes up with the same problem.

Are there any suggestions on what I can try next?

The Linux/Ubuntu versions are not in zip files so you probably have the wrong version. The most likely correct version is the Linux 64 bit. If you have very old computer hardware, try the Linux 32 bit version.

Get the latest version of the IDE from the following.
