Arduino IDE on windows surface RT or PRO

I am lookng into getting a tablet for Arduino programming. I know windows RT surface tablet has USB 3.0 and 2.0 my question is, does anyone use or tried to use a surface tablet for arduino? Can and how do you install the IDE and or drivers? And are you able to install apps not in the windows App Store? Or is the IDE in the App Store. Thanks for the help.

I tried to get things to work on my surface pro with no luck. I don’t think it would work at all for surface rt, no driver or rt specific ide.
I have Not tried any of the suggested ways around the driver signing problem, which I suspect is the culprit. I’ll post another reply if I manage to work around the problem.
