Arduino IDE problem

Hello,

I was trying to program my ESP8266 with arduino, but the only response that I got from the device vas ERROR or INVALID, the only OK was with the basic AT command. So when I run out of ideas, i was trying to conect the ESP8266 directly to the computer via USB TTL. I instaled the arduino IDE and the ESP plug in. But when I try to change the programer, the esp programer just isnt there. I realy have no idea, what should I do with the ESP, should I just buy another one, or is there any hope? Been strugeling with it for the last 4 days since it came :confused:

So let me get this straight... you have an issue with an ESP8266 but you declared a subject line of "Arduino IDE problem"? Do you really think that the problem is with the Arduino IDE?

I don't know ESP8266 or how to answer your questions, but you are far more likely to get help with an appropriate subject line.
