Arduino IDE thinks I have 1 monitor, but I have 3 and the IDE appears cut in half on main monitor

So, I've just installed the IDE using KDE Discover. I'm using an Arch-based distro with KDE as my Desktop Manager.

Upon launching the IDE, the splashcreen is cut in 2 parts, the left-side of the splashcreen appears on the upper-right part of the main monitor (monitor1) which is on the left side, the right part of it appears on the upper-left part of monitor 2 which is on the right side

After the splashscreen and the window is visible, the majority of the upper half of the IDE shows up off-screen on main monitor.

Not so sure how to fix this. It's the only program on my Linux machine that behave like this.

Thanks for any input.

Which version of the IDE?

You might have installed an antique version if it comes from the repositories of your distro.

You're better of installing 1.8.19 from https://www.arduino.cc/en/software. It might or might not solve the problem.

Thanks for the comment, I'm using version 1.8.19.

OK, in that case I have no suggestions :frowning:

Just in case anyone's wondering what happens, I've uploaded a video to my Youtube account: - YouTube

Take the machine down to one monitor, fully disconnect the other 2, and see if the problem persists. If it does work, add one monitor back at a time.
I had a similar issue with a multi-head Arch Linux setup for a digital sign for Capital One. Tried 4 ended up settling for 2 and a 2nd player for 2 more.

Figured I'd just use VSCode with PIO, but thanks for the suggestion.

Yeah, I do remember setting up a multi-monitor setup that is more than the usual 2 is a bit finicky. Specially if the layout is unconventional.

I'll mark this as solved. I only use the Arduino IDE for videos anyway.
