hey...I'm using Arduino to control the steering column of a ride on lawn mower...is there anyway to solder wires to my Arduino UNO board so that they wires will have a lower chance of becoming unconnected??
You can use pliers and pull the plastic off the headers, then usolder the pins you want to use and solder to the holes directly.
OR: Get a board like this http://store.nkcelectronics.com/arduino-runtime-board-rev-b.html and build up what you need. Don't need USB connectivity during mowing, do you? dipmicro.com has all the parts needed pretty inexpensively with low shipping costs.
