Some foks find it useful to buy a "starter kit" that has an Arduino (Uno, Nano) that has common parts (components ike resistrs, capacitors, LEDs. etc.) to get you started. Look for a kit that comes with an instructional manual (tutorials).
Also the IDE in the example section has ots of tutorias.
If you are looking for help with something specific, Googie is available as is the IDE search engine. Plus the folks on the forum are happy to answer questions.
There are also many books and tutorias. Check your local library.

You can get quite far along without spending any money or touching any hardware.

Most tutorials and instructional courses cover the basics using a small,set of components,most of which are available in the simulator.
Certainly it's more fun to play with real components, but the wokwi allows you to struggle only with the software - no broken (or breaking!) parts, no dodgy wiring to worry about and no,power supply issues distracting you.
