can i connect gsm shield ( sim 900) with leonardo board ??

is there is any problem with that ?

I have the same issue. Have you managed to do that ? if yes would you please be willing to share with me? I am in dire need of it.
I need to know how to connect SIM900 to Arduino Leonardo.
