Hello Arduino Forum,
Since it's my first post I'll introduce myself right away. I'm Erwin from The Netherlands. Currently studying technical engineering.
I have recently started a project where I, sadly, cannot tell much about for now.
Though I am experiencing some problems that might have to do with my power supply.
Right now my Arduino Lilypad has been upgraded with a Bluetooth Mate silver (from Sparkfun) and an AAA power supply (also Sparkfun).
It appears as if the Arduino has enough power. The LED starts blinking upon hitting the on/off switch on the power supply. Though my Bluetooth Mate silver is supposed have a red LED blinking aswell. Most of the time it doesn't, rarily it does.
This probably has to do with the fact that the Lilypad runs from 2V to 5V(one website stated 1.7V to 5V), and the bluetooth mate from 3.3V to 5V. The AAA power supply delivers exactly 5V (given, I assume, that the battery is new). This might explain it.
Looking at the following descriptions for the products I'm using, do I need a second AAA power supply or are there other solutions?
Arduino Lily
AAA power supply (designed for Arduino Lily)
Bluetooth Mate silver (class 2)
Thanks for advice I may receive in advance.
